A wonderful resource to help you determine what you qualify for, as well as assist you with filling out the paperwork. Eligibility varies widely with the many programs that are available.

TransportationList Item 4
- Cedar Glen LakesOur bus runs Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday for your shopping needs and Sunday for local church services. Check the current bus sceheule in the Calendar/Schedules tab at the top of this page for specific locations and times
- SOS - Samaritan of ServiceCedar Glen Lakes residents call 732-350-7300, Monday, Wednesday, Friday between 9:30 am and 11:30 am. Volunteers from our Community provide limited transportation to the Whiting area. Volunteers will also do grocery shopping of 10 items or less.
- Ocean Ride - Reserve A Ride 732-736-8989, press #1. Call at least two (2) weeks in advance for routine medical needs and appointments. $6.00 round trip, $3.00 with valid PAAD ID card
- Senior Outreach 732-849-8305. Doctors appointments must be between 10:00 am and 10:30 am and 1:00 pm and 1:30 pm. Limited transportation
- Caregiver Volunteers of Central Jersey (CVC) 732-505-2273. Service is provided Monday - Friday from 9 am and 3 pm; two (2) week notice is required. Must be part of the system
- American Cancer Society1-800-227-2345. Provides volunteer transportation to hosiptals, treatment centers of cancer specialist in the Ocean County ares. Requires three (3) days notice not counting the day of the appointment

Home Energy Assistance
LIHEAP - Lowe Income Home Energy Assistance Program helps very low-income residents with their heating and cooling bills, and makes provisions for emergency heating system services and emergency fuel assistance within the Home Energy Assistance Program.
Lifeline - A utility assistance program that offers a $225 annual benefit to persons who meet the PAAD eligibility requirements or who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI). This includes utility customers as well as tenants whose utility bills are included in their rent

JCP&L Weatherization Program
Jersey Central Power and Light offers a weatherization program. Click the link below or call 800-915-8309 and listen to the different prompts. You may request an energy audit. They will send out individuals to chekc your attic, garage, thermostats and even your refrigerator and make recommendations on how you may be more energy efficient.
